A new gathering in Madrid welcomed faith communities, cultural voices and social actors to mark the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The round table included a representative of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, a Roma guitarist and composer, and human rights educator Denise González. Speakers presented reflections from faith, culture and public service on how open dialogue can strengthen coexistence.
Throughout the gathering, participants explored themes such as religious freedom, intercultural coexistence and human dignity. Fundación Mejora connected the initiative with Scientology’s interest in education, prevention and civic responsibility. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, noted that cultural and religious diversity is a value for society when accompanied by mutual understanding and responsibility.
